The Party

During the annual PPAI Expo—the largest trade show in the promotional products industry—alphabroder hosts an exclusive, invitation-only party. In 2023, the event shifted from a nightclub atmosphere to a concert, drawing over 2,000 customers and vendors to a private show at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. The 80s cover band The Spazmatics headlined the event.

The Spazmatics, a self-described "Ultimate 80s New Wave Tribute Band," performed hits from iconic bands like Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, New Order, and The Cure.

For the design concept, I drew inspiration from vintage album art and zines. I presented the team with references ranging from the Misfits logo to the Sex Pistols' God Save the Queen album cover. I envisioned a paper-cut, photocopied collage style with dot matrix patterns to capture the retro vibe. The logo, designed by Amanda Campofiore, perfectly brought this vision to life. From there, we built an immersive vintage club experience, which included a poster-style landing page and email invites, extensive promotional signage displayed both throughout our booth, House of Blues and giveaway merch.
